I use a GROM unit to play BlueTooth music over my phone, but I don't want to access my phone to switch tracks. This inexpensive unit goes in your cigarette lighter to allow very easy RR, pause/play, and FF, as well as volume control, although I prefer to use the volume control on the head unit.
