I recently installed a EOS ZR1 extended aero kit on my 2010 base coupe. No instructions were included for the rear spoiler or the front splitter but were included for the side skirts.
I have seen many YouTube videos on installation which I find lacks small details and skips over the difficult parts.
Each part came with a bunch of screws and 3M double sided tape.
So, for those of you with an aftermarket aero/lip kit did you utilize screw mounting only? Or did you opt for the screw and 3M double side tape method? I know some people did 3M tape only on the rear spoiler because they didnt want to drill into the bumper.
I only installed the side skirts with the screws/3M tape because the instructions called for it, but only used screws for the front splitter and rear spoiler.
After driving at highway speeds with the kit installed Im having second thoughts about going back and installing the 3M tape along with the screws.
Anyone have any experience with the screw only type installation? How has it held up over time?
